The Festa Major de Gràcia

The Festa Major de Gràcia in Barcelona is one of the most vibrant events of the summer. Every year, from August 15 to 21, the Gràcia neighbourhood is completely transformed thanks to its neighbours, who decorate the streets with themed installations made with recycled materials.

During the week, traditional activities are held: castells (human towers), festive parades, musical performances, fairs and the famous correfoc, where participants run between sparks and fireworks.

The uniqueness of the festival lies in its neighbourhood origin: it is a celebration created by and for the community. It is a week full of colour, music and joy, which makes Gràcia a special place.
